About Us:

The dedicated women at Salvador Davis & Company, Notaries Public, are the kind of people you would like to have as daughters and friends.

In 1968, John Salvador began his notary practice in Sidney. In 1986 John’s daughter, Laurie Salvador, and Susan Davis became Notaries and took over the practice. In 2000, Lisa Ehrlich became a partner in the practice. Like Susan before her, Lisa received the Dr. Bernard Hoeter Excellence Award for highest marks on her UBC Notary examinations. Susan, an associate of the firm, has specialized knowledge in sub-divisions, Islands Trust, Easements and Rights of Way. Lisa is our conveyancing expert and Laurie practices and teaches solely in the areas of estate and incapacity planning. Laurie and Susan have both served many years on the Board of Directors of the Notary Society and the Notary Foundation. Susan is just finishing a two year position as President of the Board and has done an amazing job representing BC Notaries.

For 24 years, the women of Salvador Davis & Company. have helped clients with real estate conveyancing and estate planning. The office has continued to grow to a compliment of ten caring women. What has remained constant is the desire to help our clients. At Salvador Davis & Company, we protect our clients’ interests as if they were our own.

Salvador Davis & Company was one of the first professional offices in Sidney to use computers, and later, one of the first to be fully automated for online title searches and registration of Land Title Office documents. We are dedicated to continuing education and providing the best service technology will allow.

“More and more often” Laurie says, “we've been asked to act as Power of Attorney and Executors for clients.” When the firm recently moved to a new building, Laurie and her partner, Lisa, decided to start a new business to meet this need: Peace of Mind Asset Management Ltd.

The new company delivers a wide range of services, including personal financial management, health care advocacy, paying bills, filing income tax returns, arranging for in-home assistance or relocation, and secretarial and bookkeeping services. For clients who can no longer stay at home, they look after all the details of finding suitable accommodation, moving, cleaning and re-directing mail. “We chose the name Peace of Mind because that is exactly what we strive to deliver.”
